A little about me:
Hey, what's up? So I am Laura, born and raised in Hooksett, NH. I am twenty-five and have been apart of the Morning Buzz for three years now! I started in radio when I was nineteen on a show called Sports Soundoff on 610am. I am recently married to a great guy from Hooksett named Jeff. We have so much fun together!
I love to be outside! Some of my favorite things to do are hunting, fishing and camping. I haven't had much luck hunting, but I am out there trying every season. I root for the Pats, Sox and Celtics (I am not much of a hockey or nascar fan, but I am trying to learn). My beverages of choice are nice cold beers and Jack Daniels (on the rocks). MMM . . .for food I love eggplant parmasean and shephards pie and for dessert, cheesecake. I enjoy relaxing at home too, we get up way to early to be out too late on work nights. My only exception is Wednesday nights, that's my bingo night! My girls and I try to make it to Amoskeag Bingo Center in ManchVegas every week. We love it! We are the youngest people there, but we have so much fun and we are making friends. Just a warning for those of you who have never been: NEVER say BINGO if you don't have it!!! I swear somebody will beat you with a cane or even worse their walker. I am a classic rock girl, but I do like to listen to other music too (rap, funk, country). My favorite singer of all time is Janis Joplin. I even had a cat named Joplin growing up.
For things I don't like, hmmm . . . I try to be very upbeat and not to hate too much, but like everyone I have my pet peeves. I can not stand cocky, macho types who think they are better than everyone. I don't like when I have a "toe wedgie" (when your socks get wedged between your toes). It absolutely will make me go mental. I have had to pull over to fix it on the side of the road!
I guess that is all I will give you for now. I am just a normal NH girl!

ALPINE ZIPLINE
Yesterday, I got the opportunity to go to Alpine Zipline in Lincoln, NH! It was absolutely amazing. When I signed up I figured, it will be a breeze considering I have gone skydiving three times now. Well, it was an entirely different adventure! The views of the White Mountains; being transported through the air on 1/2 inch cables. If you have not tried this you should! The people there are so nice and make sure safety is first. Stay tuned for the videos of my trip!

A NH FAVORITE
This week I chose my favorite NH author. On vacation I read two books and started another one! The author of these books is Jodi Picoult and she actually lives in NH! She writes with so much description and heart that when I start one of her books I am usually half way done before the day is over!
The books I have read by her so far:
Nineteen Minutes This story is about a teen who shoots ten students and injures several others. The story takes you into the minds of the parents of the shooter, the shooter and a former friend. The difficulty in knowing this is your son. . . What if it is their own fault? Can being bullied really turn kids into killers?
Picture Perfect A story about love between an unlikely pair and a secret that would ruin the career of hollywood's leading actor. Jodi Picoult keeps you captivated; you never want to put it down.
The Pact I just started and finished this book in 4 days! The tragedy that happens to these two families leaves you feeling emotional for both sides. Wow, this book is great in leading you down one path only to have it change! An amazing read!
For more information on Jodi Picoult go to: http://www.jodipicoult.com/
If you have read any of these books or can suggest others by her please send me an email!
